Well, who knows me well knows that I really like to travel. Anywhere, another city, another country, continent, what matters is to hit the road and photograph the whole journey, of course. So, imagine my happiness when I have the opportunity to join travel and work.
This time, I went to the incredible city of Bath, an hour and a half away from London, known as the scenery of Jane Austen’s book “Pride and Prejudice”, for its Roman architecture and the thermal spas where you can experience the famous roman baths. However, the location chosen by my client was something new and extraordinary: Prior Park Landscape, which is a mile away from the centre of Bath. A magical place, that was created in 1734 by Ralph Allen, a citizen of humble origens that became rich by reorganising the British postal system and decided to build a mansion, starting by the garden.
And, as if the location wasn’t beautiful enough, my job this time wasn’t less exciting. I was hired by Satish to photograph a surprise wedding proposal to his girlfriend Natasha, at Palladian Bridge, a bridge that looked like it was taken from a fairy tale.
For this, I arrived before the couple, did some scouting of the location, and as soon as they arrived I stayed slightly hidden, photographing with a telephoto lens, in silence mode, as if I where a spy or a paparazzi. Check out the result of this romantic adventure:
